Principle

Sharing links to friends without them having to register on any website and gathering data to know which links they like and thus improving sharing.

Solution

Actually I guess twitter is (even if not dedicated to that and requiring registration) precisely that. Agglom and Zentact: A Must-Have Networking Tool (by Marshall Kirkpatrick for ReadWriteWeb, December 10, 2008) both seem to be pretty effective at doing it. To try, see if they are effective and compare when we wrote down this idea (to evaluate our own process).

Proposed technical solution

Mash-up using on Del.icio.us for link sharing (using tags and rss). Code injected with JS/CSS to remodel the Del.icio.us page and allow data gathering.

  • Explicit (thumb up, thumb down, comment message)
  • Implicit (number of visits, time spent on a page, number of clicks on the page, ...)
• Interface
  • Additional frame after click on starting page (remove frame, explicit data gathering, disable implicit data gathering)
