  • Note : Neurogenesis is not in itself the main goal since so far there is no direct correlation between the production of new neurons and the efficiency of the mind, this being still the domain of philosophy of the mind and cognitive since. Consequently the aim is not to produce new neurons per se but overall to aim for better "brain fitness". Neurogenesis and the related concepts are use so far for the lack of better terms.
