Exercise : make your room social using the following demo http://output.jsbin.com/luyeca/ . Note that live reloading doesn't work so well with networking as you tend to hammer the server. If you have any doubt disable output and only test in full screen mode. Obivously you need more than 1 device to make it social but... you have at least a phone and a laptop so that should work. Make sure to change the channel parameter to your name.

What happened when you didn't follow the instructions and didn't change the channel? why?
