general learning and optimization as a motivation factor

the more you look for pattern by being motivated by optimization (developped as : when you have motivation you can focus and spend more energy on a task a drive for optimization is a good motivation that can apply to pretty much any kind of activity but especially the learning process when you learn you try to assimilate a rule or a set of rules that apply to a certain set of problems, you consequently have to detect patterns of situations

	less repetition you need
		the faster you learn
			the earlier you can apply the lesson
				the better your return on investment is

supervision is costly training sets are costly

the faster the modelling function zero-in/converge on the ideal function

	the more efficienty the learning algorithm itself is

hypothesis are like retinas : They allow to test but only a part of the knowledge domain, and regarding what one expects to see, it doesn't use the retina the same way. Based on specific type of hypothesis, equivalent of pattern of retinas could be applied.

in the traditional sense (meaning for organisms before humans without culture being a key survival factor) life = applying the information mechanism to survive evolution = acquiring information FROM the environment BY selection the organism models (passively) its environment because survival selection is a filter and it is this very filter that, organism by organism, make it EMBODY a finer and finer model of the surrounding conditions life being just an stable applying mechanism that "interprets" the information
